Australia's Famous Beer today hit a six for the Baggy Greens, announcing a sponsorship agreement for the Australian Cricket Team's tour of India.
Foster's, the world's fastest-growing international premium beer has a long sponsorship association with sporting events both in Australia and worldwide.
Managing Director, Foster's Brewing International, Mr Rick Scully, described the sponsorship as a natural fit, one that highlights Foster's ongoing support for Australian sporting achievements on the international stage.
"The Foster's brand's Australianness is central to its success and the sponsorship agreement means we can support Australia's best on an international level."
"This sponsorship of Australia's most popular national sport in an international setting, complements the support that Australia's leading brewer, Carlton & United Breweries, already gives to Australian cricket on a domestic level," Mr Scully said.
As part of the sponsorship agreement between the Australian Cricket Board and Foster's Brewing Group, Foster's will be the 'Official Beer of the Australia Cricket Team' during the tour of India.
Foster's famous logo will adorn player's shirts and jumpers throughout the test matches and One Day Internationals.
Mr Malcolm Speed, CEO, Australian Cricket Board, said "the sponsorship, which is a great boost for the tour, has been enthusiastically received by the Australian Cricket Team. It is fantastic that the Team is able to build relationships with Carlton & United Breweries in Australia and extend that to Foster's Brewing International overseas."
Foster's, which was the first international beer company to build a brewery in India, is the biggest selling international beer in India, and like the Australian cricket team, is a real winner.
